Chakras and Crystals

 

The chakras are whirling vortexes of energy located throughout the body. An imbalance or blockage in a chakra can have physical and emotional effects. The seven major chakras are:

 

1.   Root Chakra The root chakra is related to the drive for survival. Thus, this chakra is associated with food, security and procreation. Any of your red , brown & black crystals are for the root chakra.  Crystals – Smoky Quartz, Black Tourmaline, Hematite, Obsidian, Red Jasper.

 

2.   Sacral Chakra The sacral chakra is associated with the pursuit of pleasure. Thus, sex, eating and playful activities are all related to the second chakra. Orange crystals are for the Sacral Chakra. Crystals – Carnelian, Bloodstone, Garnet.

 

3.   Solar Plexus Chakra The solar plexus chakra is associated with power. Self-control, self-discipline and assertiveness stem from this chakra. Golden & Yellow crystals are for the solar plexus chakra. Crystals – Citrine, Golden Calcite, Tiger eye, Pyrite.

 

4.   Heart Chakra The heart chakra governs the search for love, joy and companionship. All your green and pink crystals are for the heart chakra.  Crystals – Rose Quartz, Rhodonite, Rhodochrosite, Green Aventurine, Pink Calcite, Prehnite, Emerald, Green Fluorite.

 

5.   Throat Chakra The throat chakra is related to creativity and expression. Thus, artistic pursuits, speaking and the search for cultural experiences emerge from this chakra. Blue crystals are for the throat chakra.  Crystals – Lapis Lazuli, Sodolite, Blue Quartz, Aquamarine, Angelite.

 

6.   Third Eye Chakra The third eye is associated with the search for meaning. Spiritual pursuits, and mental disciplines are associated with this chakra. Usually they are all your purple crystals associated with the third eye chakra.  Crystals, Amethyst, Azurite, Kyanite, Lapis Lazuli, Charoite.

 

7.   Crown Chakra The crown chakra is related to surrender to the Divine, whatever you perceive it to be. The crown chakra governs Divine guidance, and communication with the Divine.  Crystals – Clear Quartz, Clear Calcite, Herkimer Diamond, Danburite.
